MODERN SLAVERY STATEMENT
INTRODUCTION FROM THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF NAVIGATOR TERMINALS LIMITED
Navigator Terminals Limited and its subsidiaries (“Navigator Terminals”) firmly believe that forced labour, human trafficking and other kinds of slavery are a gross violation of fundamental human rights. We will not tolerate these crimes, which all have in common the deprivation of a human’s liberty for personal and commercial gain. We acknowledge the Modern Slavery Act (2015) looks to companies to make progressive statements year on year, which demonstrate improvements in our approach to combatting slavery and human trafficking within our supply chains. The steps Navigator have taken include implementation of anti-slavery and human trafficking policy are as follows:
ORGANISATION’S STRUCTURE
Navigator Terminals is an independent bulk liquid storage provider with over 1.28 million cubic metres of storage available. We operate four terminals, each strategically located in major UK ports and serving key demand centres within the UK. As a leading provider of bulk storage solutions which respects its responsibilities under the law, we are fully committed to being part of ethical supply chains.
OUR SUPPLY CHAINS
Our supply chains predominantly comprise of United Kingdom based small to medium sized enterprises providing business support services (such as cleaning, IT, office equipment), construction contractors and maintenance contractors. We are aware of the potential risks from sourcing goods and materials from outside the UK, although this is rare within our first-tier supply base, we recognise the risks further down the supply chain.
OUR POLICIES ON SLAVERY AND HUMAN TRAFFICKING
We are committed to ensuring that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in our supply chains or in any part of our business. Navigator acts ethically and with integrity in all its business relationships and works hard to ensure that slavery and human trafficking is not taking place within our supply chains. During the last twelve months we have strengthened our existing Anti-Slavery and Human Trafficking Policy (“Policy”) and released a new group sustainability policy and procedure to build our business awareness of these issues.
SUPPLIER ADHERENCE TO OUR VALUES AND ETHICS
We have zero tolerance to slavery and human trafficking. We are committed to our goal of ensuring that all those in our supply chain comply with our values and ethics. During the last 12 months we have strengthened our due diligence approach for new and existing suppliers, launched our supplier code of conduct and include questions in our bid processes on a risk prioritised basis.
This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes Navigator Terminal’s Modern Slavery Act Statement for the financial year ending 31 March 2023.
